Site searching Bavaria

By , September 15, 2011 5:48 am

Spent the day site searching 2 castles. The best angle to shoot from, time of day, etc.
Turns out I would have to rappel down a sheer rock face to get one, so that is probably not going to happen.
But I found good sunset shots for both of the 2 closest ones.
Tomorrow morning I get up early and start hiking a very steep climb and see how it looks.

Hotel Zur Post. Looks like a great place to get some good shots from. Very Bavarian. Nice people. I am hoping this is the place I can get some nice city scapes from.

“Minnows” image sold this week at one of the galleries I work with. (Moondeer Gallery) in Boulder Junction.
That one was a gallery wrap, but I’m making the next one a straight up framed print on Hahnemuhle and framed behind glass.

Black Bear Images Editing

By , August 11, 2011 11:40 am

I finally finished some of the editing of the bear photography I did last week in Minnesota.
CHECK THEM OUT here and let me know which ones you think I should print.
Really, if you were going to buy one of these which one would it be?

Photographing Bears in Orr Minnesota

By , August 6, 2011 6:33 pm

These Bears are not in a cage, they are not tame, and they are not in any type of enclosure.
I arrived very early an attended an exxtensive briefing on how to act and what to do near these bears, how to respond to what behaviours, a 10 foot minimum distance, and don’t run away! EVER!
Other than that it was a great experience. Some awesome images.

I’m photographing Black Bears tomorrow morning at sunrise, but tonight I’m enjoying the view from my hotel room patio. It’s crazy far north and I would not want to be here in January, but tonight, I love it!!
